How often have you delighted at the sight of Roses? Is it their splendid variety of color that attracts you, or is it the scent that sends a peaceful message of LOVE to mind? Or could it be the velvety touch and feel of Roses that drive you to love them so much? Roses are wonderful in many ways and they are one of God’s most beautiful creations.Created in perfect beauty to serve as a symbol of Love and Peace. The next time you see a Rose, think of God and his purpose for creating Roses. Think of how we can be compared to this wonderful creation.
I believe Roses are images of how we are to be as Christians. Though we are the ones who are the most delicate, among all of his creations, yet we
are the ones who must endure the most to survive, in a world of sunshine and rain. Just as Roses come in all shapes, sizes and Colors, we as Christians do also. He gives each of us, just like his roses, a special purpose and distinct trait. He holds onto this purpose until we are prepared to prosper, and when this season comes, we bloom into whom we are to be according to his plan. So, just as we see his beautiful creation waiting on the bust to become full grown, we too must wait to until we are full grown in Christ. One day soon we will open up and and will be made into PEACEMAKERS, for the purpose of spreading JOY and HAPPINESS. We will show, share and celebrate LOVE, for each other, just as Roses Show and celebrate Love. But as we wait on our purpose to be fulfilled thru Christ, we must also realize that there will be weeds who will try to keep us from shining. There will be storms that will come our way, seeking to destroy our place in the Garden of HOPE. But in times like these we must not, be Tempted. For we have shelter, and our thorns will take control. Just as God has given thorns to Roses to protect them from being hurt, he gives his children thorns of protection too. Our thorns are PRAYER, PRAISE, WORSHIP, AND HIS WORD the BIBLE. In striving to be like his
precious Roses we stand before all, as a symbol of Beauty. But we must not become too proud. There is still work to be done. We are beautiful in God’s eyes, our loyalty to him shall help us to
mature as Christians. We are his Roses, standing firm for all to see, our GLORY. And though we were chosen to be like his delicate Roses, his weeds still have a chance to become new, and it
is our duty to seek these weeds and nurture them, so they one day, may know about HIS GOODNESS and the blessings they can receive if they come to him. It is also our duty to share the GOOD NEWS with the weeds of the world and those who have yet found their way to the DEVINE vine. God wants us to share our Love and Knowledge of him, despite the wayward winds that will sometimes cause us to shed our petals of GRACE.
