The Horizon

Lost as child
A latchkey youth
Barely awake
Never inspired
Truly ignorant in much
But little by little
Truth came over the horizon
And with it, understanding
And this wayward soul
This child in the wilderness
Began to see hope
And a love beyond measure
And the Creator of this love
The child became found
Gently touched by a Redeemer
The One who awakens all
To the vastness of the universe
And the greatness of His creation
This King of Kings
This Lord of Lords
Has led this child to a narrow path
And now this child longs to follow
For he holds a new key
One that glorifies the King
And now that he is awake
And truly inspired
He moves to cast off ignorance
And show Truth to others
As they watch the horizon
