Recently I shared my prayer for “Cleansing” as a way of preparing myself to minister to others. I now share with you a prayer for empowerment and authority using the name that is above every name ‘Jesus’ and His Blood:
Father you said in your word that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and so in His name I take authority and bind all the powers and forces of evil found in the air, water, ground, nature and in fire. I acknowledge you Father, as the Lord over the entire universe and give you the Glory as creator for all your creation.
I bind and cast down all demonic forces that have come against me and my family and the families of my brothers and sisters and I shield them with the power of the blood of your crucified son Jesus the Christ. Even now, I command all the powers and forces of the fallen one to depart from me, my family and friends and their families.
And because you said that you have called me by your name and I am yours, I give you thanks knowing that in the name of Jesus and by the power of His Blood, souls will be saved and won for you, now and always. Amen
This is a prayer that can be used by a chapel team before a renewal weekend, prayer vigil or just as a personal prayer of affirmation.
