Who is this person looking back at me? Whose tears is he crying?
Looking at him, looking behind the eyes of passion.... I see the true man
His life is filled with mirrors, letting him know what the world thinks
Telling him lies, telling him to wear the mask.... to hide the true man
Day in and day out he feeds on these lies, telling him there's always something wrong with him.....
The mask he wears slowly begins to yield cracks.... drops of anger silently fall out
He tries to cover up the cracks with glues of denial and pieces of false hope
The thought of tearing off this mask scares him, its been so long since he'd been real....
He can't bear to see what people might think... fear of rejection holds him at bay
His sleep seems to be his only peace, no comfort in the lies anymore
Tears building as his mind sees the truth... he has become what was feared...
Another robot, just following others, unaware of the danger signs
Again I ask the question, Who is this person looking at me?
Without this mask.... I don't remember the man in the mirror
