My Father God, I come to You
You know the souls of men;
The thoughts, intentions of the heart
And all that is within.
So at Your feet, I will lay down
This burden in my mind;
And say this prayer for my dear friend
For peace, their heart to find.
You know events and happenings
That comes along their way;
And aren’t surprised or shocked by the
Response or words they’ll say.
You see their every movement, Lord
You see their very heart;
You've fashioned them for purpose, Lord
Before their life did start.
And even through the struggles God
You’ve never left their side;
For through Your precious Spirit Lord,
You've promised You’d abide.
Your Grace, a blanket covers them
And Mercy to extend;
The Righteousness of God in Christ
To keep them til the end.
The Angels guard by Your command
No harm, their tent, come nigh;
Psalms Ninety-One confirms it Lord
You guard them from on high.
And only in Your timing Lord
All things will be revealed;
For all intent and purposes
For which their life was sealed.
So Father God, no matter what
Is in their heart and soul;
Just reassure them in Your love
It’s under Your control.
