At Gethsemane

If I had been at Gethsemane
And knelt where Jesus prayed,
In awe would I have knelt there,
At all that He had said.

"Not my will, but Thine be done"
Such powerful words were they.
As soldiers with torches gathered 'round
And took my Jesus away.

If I had been at Gethsemane
What would I have done?
Would I have stayed and fought for
My Lord?
Or would I in fear have run?

If I had been at Gethsemane
No difference could I have made.
For God had designed that wondrous plan
That all men might be saved.

A beautiful thought provoking message Dennis! What if we were faced with the challenge today to deny Him or die? Would we be able to meet the challenge? A very sobering thought, is it not? I pray to God we would be able to meet the challenge! Whoa! This really stirs the mind. Blessings, Sharon
