Darkness uses fear to attack the people of God from the time they are born into the earth. Satan will use fear to keep a person in bondage so they wonít accept Jesus into their life. Fear comes to destroy a personís life. Fear comes in all forms. I used to have fear of loud noises. The loud sound of a gun being fired would terrify me. I thought it was just because guns are dangerous, but later found out it was the sound it made I was afraid of.
When I was in Kindergarten, I recall our class being taken on a field trip to a bread factory. They probably arenít as loud now as they were 44 years ago, but back then, the sounds the machines made were extremely loud. I remember the noises causing fear in me when I was five, and I began to cry. My teacher picked me up and held me because I was afraid. None of the other children were afraid, and crying, so it must not have been that bad. But, I had a fear of loud noises, so I was crying in fear.
Fears consumed my life. I had a fear of people, from when I was in the forth grade, and where before I could do plays and get up on the stage, a spirit of fear (what people call stage fright) came into me about that time, and I would become real nervous at the prospect of even getting up in front of my class to read a book report. What could cause that kind of fear? The devil knew I was called to preach, but IF I have a fear of being in front of a class, he would be able to keep me in bondage to that fear so I would never want to preach.
De 3:22 Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.
Under the curse of the law this is what it says:
De 28:66 And your life shall hang in doubt before thee; and you shall fear day and night, and shall have none assurance of thy life:
The New Living Translation
28:66 Your lives will hang in doubt. You will live night and day in fear, with no reason to believe that you will see the morning light.
The Good News Translation
28:66 Your life will always be in danger. Day and night you will be filled with terror, and you will live in constant fear of death.
In the morning you shall say, Would God it were evening! and at evening you shall say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of your heart where with you shall fear, and for the sight of your eyes which you shall see.
This is the will of Satan for your life. Rebel at the will of Satan for your life and get free of the curse that means bondage of fear.
This is the Blessing, and Godís will for your life:
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
31:6 Be strong and courageous. Don't tremble! Don't be afraid of them! The LORD your God is the one who is going with you. He won't abandon you or leave you."
And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
The Holman Christian Standard Bible
31:8 The Lord is the One who will go before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged."
I like the blessing better, how about you? Perfect love casts out all fear. God is Perfect Love. When we dwell and abide in God (Love), then all that fear is cast out. Cast means flush out. Dwelling in the love of God will flush out all fears. How do we get that love to flush out the fears in us? That Love that has the Power to cast and flush out fear is imbedded in the Word of God. When we hear the word of God with our spiritís ears, and our soulís ears, (not the ears on the side of your head) but, hearing on the inside will flush all fear out. Word in, fear OUT.
I will not fear. What can man do to me? What can circumstances do to me when God is on my side? Nothing can separate me from the Love of God. No fear can overwhelm me when I live inside of the Love of God. I dwell and abide in Love, therefore fear you have to go, in the name of Jesus! I flush you out with the Love of God. No fear here anymore, Satan! I say no to fear, and yes to Love.
