Itís me who is to blame
Itís me who cause his pain
Itís me, itís me

Itís me who drove the nails
Itís me who failed
Itís me, itís me

I was travelingí down
The highway to hell
Down for the count
Ring, ring the bell
When up ahead
I saw a sign
That says
Jesus saves
Jesus saves

On a cross Jesus
Took away my sin
Cause He knew I had
No other way to win

Itís me who is to blame
Itís me who cause his pain
Itís me, itís me

Itís me who drove the nails
Itís me who failed
Itís me, itís me

Canít deny it
Or try to hide it
Itís me, itís me

On a cross Jesus
Took away my sin
Cause he knew I had
No other way to win

I believe the hardest two things to grasp for the people of God is that 1 -- We are in desperate need of mercy. (We, each individual, drove the nails.) And 2 -- His mercy is new every morning... and endures forever. (We were, and are, forgiven.) It's such a difficult concept, but it's the truth that comes straight from the lips of Truth. Beautiful poetry, as usual. Love, Treava
