The wheel spins;
will I adjust or
will I just cave in?
The storm rages on,
tossing and turning,
a sea of turmoil.
Attempting to steer,
will I hang on or
will I fail?
Praying for Godís help,
I surrender the helm,
waiting for the light.
Peace washes in;
no longer afraid,
I will survive.
Under Godís guidance.
I pass the storm,
one with the Lord.

I love the hope at the end, that when we "surrender the helm" we "survive" and "pass the storm". As has already been said the key is surrendering the helm of our lives to God. Help us to do it Lord!
"I surrender the helm" That's our key, isn't it? We can try our lifetimes to withstand the storms, to stand up and be strong. But our strongest moments are in finding HIS strength, those spent on our knees... surrendering the helm.
