I wake up every morning,
And silence is my song,
For you have already gone to work,
I'll do the same, 'fore long.
I remember drifting slowly,
To slumber every night,
You didn't hold or kiss me,
We were in another fight.
I seek to have a marriage,
One with open-ness,
A love with strength and honor,
That will overcome each test.
You choose to remain distant,
A feather in the wind,
You say I am not trying,
Have you looked within?
When words become self-righteous,
We choose to point sins out,
There will not be a Godly love,
For we have too much doubt.
It only takes some effort,
To try and build our love,
But if we choose to save our pride,
We will never rise above.
A marriage should be sacred,
To honor God's great plan,
For two to be together,
On his grace we'll stand.
I go to bed each evening,
Alone and broken down,
With only tears of heartache,
When no one is around.
We can not be a symbol,
To lost and wayward men,
When our love is so invisible,
Our light has greatly dimmed.
I want to tell you something,
That's been on my mind,
I am so unhappy,
We have lost so much time.
We need to change this marriage,
To one so full of fruit,
Believe me when I tell you,
I love no one but you.
