Tossed and turned on chaotic waves,
Not knowing when to swim,
Riptides, choppy seas and stormy days,
God always pulls us in.
As a tiny wading baby,
Then crashing through the teens,
Being pulled through mid-life,
Old age that was not seen.
Life is just a vessel,
To navigate the seas,
When the water's seem so strong,
We fall upon our knees.
For when you can not see the shore,
Your compass fails to work,
A wave just pushes us further,
That's when the Devil lurks.
Out in the great wide water's,
Faith is our boat of choice,
That is when God is closest,
He hears our wayward voice.
The winds will change with salty prayer,
And waves will take you near,
The shore will come in focus,
Releasing all your fear.
For when you walk upon the sands,
Each grain will represent,
A wave that crashed against you,
Your Faith was never bent.
Walk along the seashore,
Each step will leave a trail,
The grains of sand are memories,
Of the Tides of Life we sailed.
