Now the Earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
And God said, Let there be light and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day and the darkness night. And there was evening and there was morning the first day. Genesis 1:2-5 (NIV)
The first sign of day. Whispers of Light pierce the darkest night, yet gently cradles our soul, enfolding us in Its Warmth.
As first Light was Spoken, darkness surrendered so Hope dawned on a world empty and without form so Hope dawns in the dark, empty soul.
As the Spirit of God hovered over the dark waters of the Earth; the Spirit of God hovers over the dark waters of our heart waiting to speak Light into its midst.
As the Earth stood helpless before its Creator we stand helpless before our God basking in His Light drenched, in His healing Presence.
As creation responds to Mornings first glow; our hearts respond to His Shining Glory, our Spirits soar above lingering shadows, hands rise to receive what is Good. We bow before His Majesty.
You, O Lord, keep my lamp burning;
my God turns my darkness into Light.
Psalms 18:28 (NIV)
I am the Light of the world.
Whoever follows Me
will never walk in darkness,
but will have the Light of Life.
John 8:12 (NIV)
Creation has no date to honor, no date to celebrate.
New Morning New Day; ageless remembrance to celebrate and honor the first day.
Lord God of all Power, Authority, Majesty, and Glory; Speak Your Light into our hearts into our souls. Amen
