And they have defeated him (Satan) because of the blood of the Lamb and because of their testimony. –Revelation 12:11 (NLT)
One of the enjoyable results of doing the work of the Lord is the testimony that follows. In fact, it is not only enjoyable, but it is a powerful weapon against the devil. Why? Here are a few thoughts:
1. Our testimony proves that, though we may be human beings with accompanying weaknesses and idiosyncrasies, God’s power can still work through us. The devil will always try to point out our weaknesses. However, in God, they dissolve into His strength – "My power works best in your weakness" (2 Cor. 12:9 NLT), the Lord told the Apostle Paul when he prayed to have his “thorn in the flesh” removed.
When we submit our weaknesses to God, an awesome transformation takes place: “You have already won your fight … because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world" (1 John 4:4 NLT).
2. Our testimony affirms the concept of grace. God works through us not because of who we are or what we’ve done, but because of the sacrifice of His Son at Calvary and His resurrection from the grave. "For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago" (Eph. 2:10 NLT).
When we do the work of The Kingdom, it’s God working through us. This can only be possible when the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit has begun in us. Thus it can be said that God works through us because he’s working in us, all because of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
3. Our testimony declares that Jesus is alive and to Him belong all glory and praise! "Let us be glad and rejoice and honor Him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and His bride has prepared herself. She is permitted to wear the finest whit linen. (Fine linen represents the good deeds done by the people of God)" (Rev. 19:7-8 NLT).
If the work we do for The Kingdom is actually God working in and through us, then it is but logical to conclude that God is alive and with him all the attributes and persons of the Godhead: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
No wonder, then, Satan is defeated by our testimony. It’s a form of truth he has no defense against!

Hallelujah! Jesus is alive; To Him belong all glory, praise and majesty! The Devil is a bad devil but God is a good God. p/s: have just read king David's testimony in 2 Samuel 22 after the Lord delivered him from all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. Here is a sampler: "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my strength, in Him I will trust, My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence. I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from all my enemies."
