This is dedicated to Gladys, my best friend of over 51 years.

A friend�

Someone who looks beyond herself
And loves straight from her heart
With a welcoming shoulder to cry upon
When you feel you are falling apart.

A friend is a priceless, precious gift
Meant for us to treasure,
Sent by God with loving care
Bringing joy that we can�t measure.

Someone who knows you better
Than you may know yourself
Who appreciates your talents
And won�t let them sit on a shelf.

Sent by God with loving care

Someone who listens intently
With your well-being in mind
Who responds with truth and caring
And the best advice you�ll find.

A friend is a priceless, precious gift

Someone who always puts you first
And genuinely cares
Who understands your special dreams
And encourages you to share.

A friend is a priceless, precious gift

Someone who is proud of you
And rejoices in your success,
A champion who stands by your side
And for you wants only the best.

I was blessed with such a friend.
Now, she is with God forever.
