See a falling star as it dances by in the blinking of an eye
Still the Father knows each one as it falls in the darkest midnight sky
Be still and know that He knows and hears a single baby's cry
And the sweetest song in heaven is a simple lullaby
Be still and know that He hears each prayer
and listens to each sigh
Be still and know He is everywhere
And always standing by
Be still and know that He cared for you since time was first begun
That He loved you so in heaven
That He gave His only son
Be still and know that the day will end
Whose trials bring you pain
Be still and know that He comes again
This world to rule and reign
Be still and know that He holds you close
He cares and understands
And the promise of tomorrow
Is held safe within His hands
