My first reflex upon waking to a new day is to talk to my Father God. I have made this a part of my daily routine for a number of years and in the last two years it has become such a source of strength and comfort for me as I begin my day. A little over two years ago our middle son, Toby, unexpectedly moved to his permanent home of heaven. He was only twenty-six years old and had been married less than three months. My family has always been very close and it changed all of our lives. But one thing that did not change was the faithfulness of God. He reassures me on a daily basis that Toby is full of peace and joy. I know that God loves Toby even more than I do, so even though we all miss him I know he is in the very best of places with someone that is total Love. Each morning as I talk to my Lord and thank Him for the abundant life He has given us, I also ask Him to do something special for me. I ask Him to give Toby a kiss for me and to tell him the kiss is from his momma. And I know that because God loves me, He does just that. What a God we serve!

I was truly moved. I believe many of us mothers echo these dear sentiments, and many praying for children to come to Jesus. Bless you for sharing your heart. littlelight
Dear Shirley, I was very touched to read about your dear Toby. It encourages me to know that indeed our Lord give you comfort and peace concerning your thoughts of your precious son. I have a son that I worry about. I have written about him on faithwriters.
