When I go before the Throne of God
On Judgment Day
Innocent or Guilty, He’ll ask me
This is what I’ll say…
I have lied to my parents,
That breaks two commandments
I’ve taken a pen in my day
Another one goes away
There are seven left
And now I’ve admitted to theft
And all this time I thought
I was a good person
But I am guilty before the Throne
I have broken God’s laws
And the judgment is about to fall
As I’m before the Throne of God
On Judgment Day,
Jesus walks in,
And says with grin
This one is mine…
He walks right in
And pays… my fine…
And His people shall inherit the earth
And because of the day
When I called on His name
And asked if He could ever forgive me
For sinning against Him
He calls me…
He calls me…
His people
