Today I saw a rainbow painted on the sky
Reminding me of God's love and how He reigns on high
A multi-colored message His promises are true
A sparkling arc of yellow-of green and pink and blue
It suddenly appeared there
For I'd seen only rain
A rainy day reminder
He knows our every pain
It glistened in the heavens
Suspended in mid-air
A beaming blessed assurance
He hears our every prayer
Today I saw a rainbow painted on the sky
I'm glad I saw it gleaming as I was passing by
I've seen my share of rain clouds
For life is filled with woe
So God shined down some heaven
His love to let me know
