Remember… back in the 50’s and 60’s the old fashion peppermint stick, which took us all day to eat.
Remember … penny candy like,
Bazooka bubblegum, lemonheads, Boston bake beans, sunflower seeds, sugar babies, sugar daddy, and all of the other’s we love.
I know you miss them!
Remember when… the dairy truck delivered your milk in a glass bottle, nice and fresh.
Remember when… you had ginger snap cookies and a glass of cold milk for a snack.
Remember when… the kosher pickles were just a nickel.
Remember when… mom made a hot apple pie, just when you got home from school, and you smile you said “Yummy! Apple pie”
Remember when… you had to finish your homework before going out with your friends.
Remember… your first book assignment to read.
Remember… the old cartoons; bugs bunny, daffy duck, tom & jerry, Johnny quest, mighty mouse, underdog, the movies rin-tin-tin, lassie, Walt Disney, and Bible stories.
Remember... your cereals; corn flakes, raisin bran, and cheerios.
Remember when… the snow storm came, you wanted to go out, mom said put on your snowsuit, mittens, and hat, “Where is the sled mom?”
“It’s right here dear”
Remember … your mother showing you how to make arts and crafts.
Remember when… you washed your own hair.
Remember when… your two front teeth were missing, and your friends teased you, but mom came too your rescue.
Remember when… you had to clean up your room before you went anywhere for the day or weekend.
Remember when… your dad took you out to play soft ball, to the playground,
Remember getting on the swings, see-saw, monkey bars, also the sand box, and the slide.
Remember… your bath time when you wet up the floor and had bubbles from Mr. Bubbles everywhere.
Remember… your bedtime stories.
Remember… your first vacation at your grandparents’ house.
Remember… being trained on your first bicycle without training wheels.
Remember… back in the day the war of Vietnam that we all watched on television. Very sad wasn’t it!
Remember when… you had to get up early for Sunday school.
Remember when… you were introduced to Christ.
Remember God in all things that you do.
Remember when... Jesus says “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrew 5:13-5a)
