I know sometimes we travel a different path,
Thinking more of our selfish desires;
We really know all along the right thing to do,
...Obey the truth of Your words, supernaturally inspired.
I freely admit I quite often do the same, I know,
Feeling that 'my way' I prefer;
Worry we should not, but we do it although,
Our souls purchased, our salvation preserved.
We ask you to bear with our frequent doubt,
When encountering certain questions of faith;
Though we may not understand, we'll try to take our stand,
And hunger we will to hear what you have to say.
Again I reiterate, we don't wish to lose touch,
To lose fellowship with your Spirit, the Sword;
Looking forward to the day...we can give up our own way....forever proclaiming to our God,
'............Not our will, but Yours'.
Amen
