I was driving down the road and heard an advertisement on the radio telling me I should donate my car to charity. I thought that was a great idea. A car symbolizes freedom to go to a job, to bring home groceries ... to make out at drive-in movies.
Then I heard the announcer: "Donate your car today to 'Heritage for the Blind'"
Suddenly life makes sense. Now I know why the drive-up ATM's have braille on them. I know why the freeways have those rumble strips on the shouders. And, I'll tell you, the next time I see a dog with his head out the window, I think he just might be a seeing-eye dog. "Rrrright! Turn Rrrrright!"
