Poetry
I remember Lord when you came
into the midst of me
and I turned mightily to thee
When, like tides turning to shore
I fell into your arms
and how you brushed away all harms
When the seasons of my life changed
from Summers and Winters
and all the dead, dry bitterness
To Spring and life and joyous songs
and bright, verdant newness
where flowers sprouted in dewy bliss
The skies that once held rain from me
swept soft, refreshing dew
until my wearied soul broke through
Then arm in arm we walked the way
above the cares of Earth
and all that marked my life since birth
Oh Lord refresh my soul again
and send your blessed grace
extend your arms and show your face
Then to your heart my Lord I'll fly
for all I need you give
where mercies never ending live.

Nice poem. Very easy to read. I did stumble a little on the third last line, however -- "Then to your heart I will speedily fly" -- I think "wiil speedily" might be a bit cumbersome after so many smoother liines. (I know you might feel those words are needed to convey your message, but try reading the poem without those words...feel the rhythm.) Might there be another way to express the same idea? Just an observation. I really enjoy your writing!
