I tried to kill myself today
I didn’t succeed
I called a friend
He told me he loved me
He said his heart was breaking
He wished he could hug me
I felt the same way
I wanted him there
I wanted him to tell me
it would be all right
So many people said they loved me
So many people care
So many feelings were shown
God was in my friend
God was in my counselor
God was in my teacher
(this is a true story. I suffer from clinical depression and this day I had almost gone over the edge. I just want to relate just how important not only family is, but how important friends, teachers and the people you trust are. The friend I called isn’t my boyfriend, but he is a very close friend and he helped me a lot through this especially difficult time.)
