I’m always fascinated by written words –how they can stir my emotions from melancholy to gladness, how they can make my heart beats faster, or awaken my dreams into much greater heights. Words scribbled with intense feelings of love for God filled with insights and wisdom can awaken my sagging spirit, and inspire me to live that life driven by His heavenly purpose for me. I know in my heart that God’s clear call, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” But to spread the Word to the world, I know that the Lord doesn’t mean that I need to travel the globe. I can do it right here where I am, with what I have, under His guidance and direction. So here I am equipped with pen in hand, ready for His instructions and ready to fly on His wings of love.
But just like any flight, it comes with travelling instructions, a sort of warning. “Fasten your seat belts and be ready for what lies ahead!” I can almost hear God speaking in my heart about the heavy responsibility that a Christian writer carries. There’s an overwhelming challenge and realization how our words would influence others. It’s crucial that I pray and ask Him for His insights and wisdom and not my own ideas and limited human knowledge.
How awesome it is when I allow God to speak through me . The words flow like a river as I swim with the steady current bathing me with the soothing, cleansing water as He refresh me with His Spirit of love . This mystifying love overflows in my heart that I can’t help but share it to the world. It’s only when we open our hearts and let our life be an open book with all the flaws, suspense and drama, allowing the Lord to direct and edit each chapter of our life can we be a blessing to others.
I believe in my heart that God called me to write. I am so grateful that He allows me to use my greatest passion to give Him the glory that He deserves. Writing is my way of sharing His love to the world. As He guides my hand, He gives me the warm, calm assurance of His Mighty presence. He is my Pilot in this flight and I am so blessed to travel the globe with Him right where I am, and whatever instructions He has for me.
