The wonderful sense of god’s presence,
a wakening up of the desire within us to know god more.
A stirring up of passion and a longing for deeper intimacy with Christ.
Duncan Campbell part of the revival in Scotland in 1949 said this.
REVIVAL IS SIMPLY A COMMUNITY SATURATED WITH GOD.
Mathew Henry states this.
. WHEN GOD INTENDS A GREAT MERCY FOR HIS PEOPLE,
THE FIRST THING HE DOES IS SET THEM A PRAYING....
The word passion {Pathos in Greek} speaks of something that deeply stirs us,
drives us, compels us and is something we long for.
A passion for god’s presence begins in the place of prayer.
When god’s people give themselves to prayer- god works.
Prayer does not cause revival but it prepares the way for when god chooses to send it.
When revival comes it will be because someone was willing to pay [pray] the cost.
