The fire and glory of god fell so powerfully.
Heres an account of what happened.
A GREAT HUNGER AFTER THE WORD OF GOD TOOK POSSESSION OF US SO THAT WE HAD THREE SERVICES EVERY DAY... EVERYONE DESIRED ABOVE EVERY THING ELSE THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT MIGHT HAVE FULL CONTROL... SELF LOVE AND SELF WILL, AS WELL AS ALL DISOBEDIENCE DISAPPEARED AND AN OVERWHELMING FLOOD OF GRACE SWEPT US ALL OUT INTO THE GREAT OCEAN OF DIVINE LOVE...
Nicholas von Zinzenddorf (27yr old) was the leader of the Moravian community.
He was discouraged and deeply burdened by the lack of spiritual life in his believers.
Also deeply burdened for nine schoolgirls in his bible class.
So he began to pray and agonise for these people. He spent hours, days and nights in earnest intercession.
Often floods of tears accompanied his prayers as he poured out his heart to god.
It was not long before many others began to pray as never before.
A group of about 14 covenanted together of their own accord to meet with zinzendorf and pray.
They gathered regularly and poured out their hearts in prayer and worship.
On the 5th of august they spent the whole night in prayer,
And on the 13th of August at the communion service the Holy Spirit fell on them bringing deep conviction, repentance and reconciliation.
