Shout Don’t Whisper

May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, "The LORD be exalted, who delights in the well-being of his servant." Psalms 35:27

Have you ever noticed that when someone is excited or overjoyed the volume of their voices rise? It is rare that we would ever hear someone exclaim his or her excitement at a whisper.

Most times in general conversation as the subject warms up in each person taking part in the conversation, the volume of the people’s voices rises fractionally.

When we are speaking about the Lord or declaring our love for the Him the volume and tone we use will convey our confidence and conviction in Him. Why whisper your allegiance, when you could proclaim it clearly in a beautiful voluble tone, which says how fulfilled you are in the Lord.

We need to step out of our comfort zones when we are proclaiming the Lords Word or when we minister and witness to those who do not know Him intimately. Speaking of Him in silence or inaudible whispers we are ultimately giving a false image of what we actually feel and believe.

When we hear the Lord calling us to discipleship we need to trust in Him that all our inhibitions will disappear. Pray that He gives us voice to speak the words He has placed in our mouths and be obedient to His calling. In answering His call, we can be bold and strong, because the Lord is with us and we are in Him.

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!" Isaiah 52:7

The Lord delights in our praises. Lift up your voices and shout His majesty from the rooftops. Be bold of voice as you share His love. Proclaim His awesome Word with gusto, without inhibition but with delight.

I agree, excellent article. It's very important we be enthusiastic when it comes to expressing, communicationg, and sharing anything concerning The Word of God to others. Some of us laugh so loud when we are talking about things of little substance, but when Jesus comes up, we must mak sure not to be to loud. It shows you where peoples heart is. But it shows The Lord how much we care about what He did for us in Christ. May God Bless you, your family, and everything you put your hand forth to do-amen
