As I sat making a pair of earrings last night, thoughts crowded my mind as I worked with the tiny wire design...that I need the magnifier to bring far away things near, and the bright light of the lamp made each little detail clear.
The design was anchored by a loop by itself at the top, and all the loops that follow were all put together in pairs.
You could not rush ahead to get to the end, for it only could be done step by step from beginning to end.
And I thought of our life together as I worked, and it just seemed to me a perfect illustration of how the love we share makes everything the best it can be...like a magnifying glass, it brings the two of us so near, and magnifies our love which drives out all doubt and fear.
Love is the light that shines to show us the way we should go, and it brings out the beauty in each of us like soft candle-glow.
The design of our lives has Jesus at the top as He should be, for He is the anchor of all that we do, in Him we are free.
We make our loops together as we follow His lead, each set done in pairs, one for you and one for me...and we take the time to finish each part of the design, savoring each moment like a treasure frozen in time.
The greatest joy is not in completing the design, its in the little details of love we add as we create the loops and the lines...each word, each touch, each simple loving thing that we do, adds a glow to the design that only comes from love deep and true.
There is such joy each day as we begin our design anew, knowing that it will be filled with happiness and love 'cause I'll get to create it with you!

Trish, this is so beautiful. I can see you working on the jewelry, though I've never met you. I see delicate fingers carefully handling each dainty piece. And it truly reminds me of Jesus as He is not just watching over us, but is working in our lives, and through us, with precious love, toward others! I pray that you have books at the Bookstores!
