**PRAISE THE KEY TO A DOOR THAT HAS BEEN LOCKED
FOR ALOT OF CHRISTIANS, THEY FUMBLE THROUGH
TO TRY TO FIND A WAY TO GOD'S PRESENCE*

CHAPTER 1

Praise doesn't come easy sometimes, because the devil hates it. The reason he hates it so much is, because you're giving your heavenly Father all the glory and honor . And by lifting your hands in worship you're saying, here I am Jesus, I surrender to you.
Surrendering, think about it for a moment. If you were in a bank somewhere, and a theif came in with a gun, and says, "get your hands up", you would do it wouldn't you. You're surrendering to him, showing him he is in control. The same thing with God, show Him that you know He is in control.
You may say, "what's the big deal about lifting your hands in church, and why should we or what's the point?"
Well, it is a big deal to me, and there is a point to it.
I got saved in 1990, and being a new christian I didn't know alot about praising. Time went by and the newness of being saved was beginning to wear off. Do you know what I mean? I would go to church, and usally would just set back and watch everyone else praise the Lord and get blessed. I had no joy in my life, and by watching them I got hungry for God and desired to be blessed too.
But, I didn't know how to get there.
In 1992, after my son was born, the Lord began to deal with me about lifting my hands and praising Him. I couldn't seem to get past the fear of people watching me. I desired so much to praise Jesus, the one I love.
During this time I would hear a song all the time, a song that said, "what's wrong with my children, why won't they praise me". I would hear it every time I had the radio on.
I got tired of getting in trouble all the time, so I earnestly prayed and prayed for God to help me, and He gave me strength. Then it finally happened, one night at church I finally found courage to lift my hands and praise my savior. As I began to praise Him, I worshipped with all my heart, and God touched me. And now I can't stop praising Him, And ever since that night I have never heard that song again. Isn't God wonderful!

**BY LIFTING OUR HANDS IN WORSHIP WE ARE
SHOWING THE LORD THAT WE LOVE HIM AND THAT WE
ACKNOWLEDGE HIM FOR WHO HE IS**

CHAPTER 2

Worship it's fellowship with Jesus.
Not only can we talk to Him, but spend time with Him in worship.
God said in His word, if we don't praise Him the rocks would cry out. I don't want any rocks crying out in my place, do you?
Well, if you're not praising Him, one of these days you may be walking along, where there's rocks and all of a sudden you hear a crying out,(Jesus, you are holy, you are holy, and worthy of all praise). I believe it could happen. God made an ass to speak to a man in Numbers 22:21. What makes you think He can't make a rock to cry out.
Just like a pastor, that would continually push me to praise God, I push you, in the name of Jesus. Praise Him, praise Him, you've got to praise Him!
Sometimes when I go to church and songs are being sung, but no one seems to want to praise the Lord. I don't know the reasons why, maybe sin in their life, maybe they're tired or bored, or maybe they're bound with the cares of this life to truely see past their circumstances and look to the one who can help.
In Isaiah 61:3- God said, "He would give us the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness(heaviness in Hebrew means-feeble, somewhat dark, to be weak, to grow dull, fail, faint, restrain, obsure/(which means in the dictionary-lacking supply of light), and heavy/(in the dictionary means- hard to bear, grevious, burdened, dulled with weariness.)
Do you have a heavy heart? Does your way seem dim, that you can't see a way out? There is a way. His name is Jesus, praise Him! Has your walk with the Lord been feeling dull? Regain the fire of God again, praise Him! Have you failed Him? Everybody has, you're not alone, praise Him! Are there things that are hard to bear in your life? Jesus is the burden bearer, praise Him! Are you weary in well doing? Don't be, for in due season you will reap, praise Him!
Praise your problems away, press through all the heart ache. I had to and still do at times. Praise your way past the fears, wandering if someone is watching you. So what if they are, praise Jesus anyhow. Put on the garment of praise. Just like you put on your clothes everyday, put on praise, where it around all the time, and see what God will do, if you will lift Him up.

**WHEN WE COME TO HIS HOUSE LET US FORGET ABOUT
OURSELVES AND ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE, AND SET
OUR HEARTS AND MINDS ON JESUS**

CHAPTER 3

In 2Chronicles 5, King Solomon built the house of the Lord, for the ark of God to dwell.
When everything was finished the people came together. The priests brought up the ark into the most holy place. And as the trumpeters and singers were praising and thanking God, they lifted their voice and praised the Lord, saying,"For He is good, His mercy endureth forever." That then the house of the Lord was filled with a cloud. The priests couldn't even stand to minister because the glory of the Lord had filled the place. Wouldn't that be something, if we could get a hold of that and apply it to our life.
Remember in 2Chr. 5:6 "they assembled and sacrificed". Let's offer up our sacrifice, ourselves.
In 2Chr. 5:11 "the priests were sanctified". That's what we need today, some sanctified preachers that's willing to stand up to the world, and the religious people, and say no more sin. Be ye holy, for our God is holy. I've been in some churches where the pastors and people pleasing preachers. I've found out you can't please everyone. If they're offended by what you say, and what you say is according to God's word, then they needed to hear it. The Bible says to reprove, and rebuke. Don't let their blood be on your hands.
In 2Chr. 5:13, 14 "they were as one and they praised the Lord, and His glory filled the place". Wouldn't have you liked to been there? I know I would. But, we can have the same thing now. Come as one, and thank our God. Lift our voices in praise to Him, then His glory will fill our churches and our hearts again.

AMEN! For we know that He inhabits the praises of His people. There is another Scripture which if we obeyed I wonder what would happen? (Ps.21:13-Be exalted, O Lord, in Your own strength! We will sing and PRAISE YOUR POWER.) We just might begin to see great and mighty things begin to happen.
