I’ll write more today, I will
I’ll write things no one else has
And people will read what I write
And they’ll say the words out loud
As they read the words I write
And then, somehow, things will be right
Because there is no greater fear
Because there is no greater want
Then for the writer to find cause
For more writings to come
More creations to appear
But if no one sees our word-paintings
Our we that tree falling in the forest
That no one hears
Our we that solitary prisoner
All have forgot
But I can wallow in self-pity no more
It is time to write
Time to create
And wonder who, if any
Will see what I write
