God, longing to have a relationship
with His creation; His beloved children,
tried in so many ways to reach us.
but each time He attempted to ~ we ran.
However, our God is so very patient,
so very true that once more He tried again,
to establish a relationship with us.
A closeness betwixt God and carnal men.
What could He do that would prove
His great wondrous grace filled regard?
It would have to be somewhat amazing
quite difficult, profound, intensely hard
for we are such a hardhearted people,
stubborn, bickering, each a crass malefactor.
He would have to really truly reach us,
to convey the depth of His love forevermore.
Thus came the miracle, a stroke of precocity,
beyond man’s wild yet puny imagination.
Something that would permanently capture,
the stone heart of an intractable creation.
“Perhaps, if I would walk among them,
become an example of their vast capabilities,
possibly they might depart wickedness,
and embrace Holiness desiring only to please
a God who cares and loves them deeply
who yearns for them to reflect my glory.”
Thus on a singularly momentous midnight,
a virgin birthed a King: a manifest allegory.
He came as a ransom for the sins of man.
He came to fulfill God’s consummate plan.
He came to feat the aberrant enemy of all.
He came to fulfill a promise greater than
anything this loving God had ever done before,
He came to sets us free to attain our liberty.
Now because of the deeds of this holy man,
We can all partake in His heavenly jubilee.
There is nothing more that we need ever do,
Just profess He is the only way to achieve,
a place in eternity the Kingdom of God,
It’s the message of salvation we believe.
A message of atonement to a Mighty King,
A great message of an uncompromising love,
A message tenderly conceived and achieved,
By a most wondrous creator in Heaven above.
There is absolutely nothing more to be done,
just the simple acknowledgement of God’s son,
whose final crucifiction words “it is finished”,
caused sin to die while God's amnesty had begun.
