The Colors Will Never Fade

I was thinking this morning of some Easter eggs I have seen that are painted like tiny works of art - covered all over with bits of color and arranged just like a stained -glass window.... and I am still amazed by the patience and attention to detail it takes to create one of these...and it reminded me of our love.

We start each day brand new, a blank expanse that we alone can color...and it is entirely up to us as to how we apply it, the design that we use, even the tools that we take up to use.

We can spend scant time at it, just splashing on some color in our haste, but the result will look haphazard, and it will appear that we thought working at this was a complete waste.

Or we can choose, like I do each morning, to spend all of the time in my day.... to paint with love a tiny masterpiece of love to give to you along with my heart.

Some colors will be bright as the dreams and hopes we have yet to do, and some are soft pastel hues of those already true, and around each bit of color will be a tiny silver frame to remind us of God's grace that surrounds each dream and memory that we have.

And when the day is done, there is a stained-glass window done in miniature, a colorful reminder of the things we have said and done to create this little remembrance of our love, cherished memories of our laughter and fun.

The colors will never fade on these, nor will they grow dim over time.....for each day is brand new, the colors fresh and true, the love that creates them is just for you!

I saw this was under the marriage catergory and yet in reading it has so many dimensions that it can apply to. We choose to take the time to remember the tiny details that make up relationships or we take them for granted. It just flowed so easily and the thoughts so filled with love that it gave peace to my heart.
