Battered, bruised,
and broken
They struggle on
their way.
Hungry, cold,
forgotten
They live through
one more day.
Desperate,
abandoned
Not knowing
what to do.
Till someone
cares enough.
That someone
could be you.

General or specific, you choose. Either way it challenges us to make a difference where we can. Whether that is with homeless children or the many children who have the best of everything but are still lost. Thanks for the challenge.

excellent, it says it all.

Is this poem directly about homeless children? I like the overall poem, but I had a little bit of trouble understanding if the topic was specific or general.
