God’s Language: A Spiritual Teaching Tool
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun, which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course.” - Psalm 19:1-5 (NIV)
Are you ready to embark on a remarkable voyage into the soul of God? If so, you have ventured into the right book series. To get just a glimpse of what you are about to discover about our Creator God and His incredible relationship with us, we will examine Psalm 19 - as quoted above. These inspired words of the Psalmist are jamb-packed with powerful ramifications that are often ignored by Bible scholars today because they are considered too controversial. This is tragic because our ability to understand Yahweh God and His Creation and to develop a really deep and personal relationship with God has been greatly limited by this.
Psalm 19 tells us that there is much more to understanding the heart, mind and Spirit of God than studying Scripture alone. It tells us that, in addition to studying the Scriptures, we need to seek the messages about God that He has left for us in every aspect of His Creation. Psalm 19 is the most amazing proof text for the existence of the Language of God in the Bible. The second verse of Psalm 19 tells us that the heavens “pour forth speech.” But one may ask; “How can they do this if the heavens are mute? What vehicle do the heavens use to convey these truths of God to us?” These questions are further deepened by verse two of this psalm, which specifically tells us that the heavens speak in a voice without language or speech barriers.
Instances of this silent language are found everywhere in Psalm 19. For example, in verse 2, Psalm 19 tells us that God made the heavens to serve as a tent for the Sun. In the fifth verse, Psalm 19 says that the Sun is an analogy for both a bridegroom and a champion. As will be shown in later chapters, the Sun is a visual metaphor for Yahweh and His Son Yahshua (i.e. Jesus, See Author's Notes). Therefore, this connection of the Sun with a bridegroom clearly points to Christ as the Great Bridegroom coming for His Bride the Church. Yahshua, our Bridegroom and Kinsman Redeemer, is also truly the Champion of our Salvation.
Psalm 19 further tells us that the starry heavens declare the glory of God and display knowledge (verse 2), implying that they are meant to illuminate our souls with spiritual light using a language without cultural or linguistic barriers. This therefore cannot be a language based on vocalized or written words but a symbolic language consisting of numbers, allegories and concepts. But some may ask: “if this symbolic language is there in the day and night sky, how come we have forgotten it and how can we prove it exists? How were people in ages past made aware of this unspoken metaphorical language in Yah’s (i.e. God's) Creation? How long has this language been in existence and who invented it?” These are good questions that will be answered throughout this book series, especially in this first volume.
To answer the question of how long this heavenly Language has existed, let’s look at another Bible passage:
“Then God (Elohim) said, ‘Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years… Then God (Elohim) made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. God (Elohim) set them in the… heavens to give light on the Earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God (Elohim) saw that it was good.” - Genesis 1:14-18 (NKJ)
The above Scripture makes it clear that Yahweh God created the Sun, Moon, planets, and stars in the heavens to “be for signs and for seasons” (Genesis 1:14). Let's analyze this phrase to see what the Hebrew words for signs and seasons actually meant. Strong's Hebrew Concordance explains that the original word translated as signs was “owth” or “oth.” This word could mean that something is a signal, as in a flag or beacon. It could also mean that it is a monument, sign or token. This suggests that God meant for the Sun, Moon, planets, and the starry heavens to be a “beacon of light” for enlightenment. Using an analogy that expresses this in God's Language, these shining heavenly bodies were meant to guide each human being out of the dark night of sin and toward the light of Yahweh. This message of light piercing the darkness is especially evident in the night sky.
In the starry expanse of space was an unavoidable visual reminder of the true path to redemption and resurrection. There in the stars was the first master key to understanding the true nature of human existence. Though few are aware of this, the constellations we can see from Earth at night allegorically show that mankind is locked in a spiritual battle between good and evil. Just as in the Bible, the central figure of this battle foretold in the sky is the champion of mankind: Yahshua, the Savior of the World. This is all revealed pictorially and allegorically in the Zodiac, especially as it was pictured in ancient times.
In Chapters One and Two, we will fully explore why Yahweh “spoke” this spiritual story into the constellations of the Zodiac at the moment of Creation and what Yahweh was telling us through it. For now, however, let’s examine the biblical proofs that the heavens are a remarkable monument revealing Yahweh's power and greatness. This visual testimony was called the “heavenly tablets” before the time of Moses. The Bible identifies the Zodiac using the Hebrew word “Mazzaroth,” and this starry witness of God’s Glory is a vibrant example of the metaphorical Language of God.
The second verse of Psalm 19 declares that the heavens have a definite voice that we can understand and that has gone out “to all the earth” and “to the ends of the world.” This means that no one is without access to this “voice” and everyone can understand it once they know of it and its true purpose. Since few of us have ever heard a literal voice coming out of Heaven (Biblical exceptions being prophets like Moses and John the Baptist), this voice must be a silent one that conveys truth symbolically. Several examples in the Bible refer specifically to this voice. For example, though he doesn’t specifically call it a voice, the Apostle Paul speaks of this silent communication evident in all Creation:
“For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities- his eternal power and divine nature- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” - Romans 1:20 (NIV)
Here, Paul’s words clearly convey his belief that this silent “voice” or language has been evident everywhere in the Cosmos and upon the Earth since the dawn of time and the Pagans are therefore without excuse for their erroneous beliefs. Another powerful example occurs in Chapter Four of the Book of Revelation where there is a vision of Yahweh seated on His throne in Heaven. There, the Four Living Creatures have six wings. These wings can be viewed as dividers for six 60-degree sections of the 360-degree starry night sky, or the heavens. The wings are covered with “eyes,” and like the wings of the Living Creatures, the eyes are metaphors too - but the eyes refer to the stars in the heavens instead of heaven itself. These cosmic beings are said to proclaim that The Lord God Almighty (Yahweh Elohim Tsebah) is holy both day and night:
“Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty (Yahweh Elohim Tsebah), who was, and is, and is to come’ ” - Rev. 4:8 (NIV)
In comparison, Psalm 19 also tells us that the heavens somehow “speak” or communicate their knowledge of God both day and night:
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard” - Psalm 19:1-3 (NIV)
It appears that men in ancient times understood this truth much better than we do today. Through their keen observation of the world and the Cosmos, the ancient followers of Yahweh Elohim seem to have had as pure and complex a knowledge of Him as we do with our fixation on the Bible alone as a source of truth about God. Much proof for this supposition will be found throughout this four-book series about the Language of God.
In “The Language of God” book series, the remarkable correlations found between the Bible and the allegorical, mathematical and scientific “language” that is built into the fabric of Yahweh's Creation will prove that both were inspired by the same Master Creator and are therefore both the inspired Word of God. All Creation speaks with this special metaphorical language that, by its perfect cohesiveness with the Bible, appears to be fully divine in origin. We will examine the many ways that this unspoken language broadcasts great truths about Yah’s character and loving personality.
Throughout this book series, many proofs will be given which show that our remotest ancestors knew of and utilized Yah’s special symbolic language both in their rituals of worship and in the plans of their sacred buildings. We will also examine how the rituals and holidays of the Jews are filled with this divine allegorical language. In addition, it will be shown how the Language of God was so badly perverted that it became almost unrecognizable as a genuine gift from Yah meant to guide mankind to righteousness. Finally, we will examine how the symbolism inherent in the Language of God was used in prophecy.
One question pertaining to the Language of God that many have asked is: “If the Bible is sufficient to lead us to salvation, why is it necessary to study and uphold this external allegorical verification?” There are several reasons. First of all, though the Bible is undeniably the greatest source of saving knowledge about Yahweh God, it is a book. As such, it can easily be left unread and disregarded. Though Christians rightly revere it, the Bible is easily ignored or rejected by unsaved people. One can simply choose not to look inside its covers if uninterested in knowing what the Scriptures have to say about God and mankind. In addition, the Bible’s many messages are all but lost to the skeptics who view the Word of God as a mythological, fanciful collection of fairytales. To those who are not earnestly seeking to know Yahweh, its teachings can be blatantly rejected or grossly misinterpreted. Furthermore, even though the Bible is still the best selling book of all time, there are millions of illiterate people and some cultures with no written language at all.
There is, however, a visual record of God’s nature and purpose that is extremely difficult to refute or ignore. Furthermore, it doesn’t rely on the knowledge of reading to be seen and understood. Though it can never be perfectly interpreted in our degenerate condition, this pictorial testimony is nonetheless available even now to anyone seeking to know Yahweh deeply. It is found through analyzing given visual and symbolic clues in the Universe all around us and in and on the Earth itself. These parts of our natural world have been giving all people in all ages virtually the same unchanging pictorial messages.
Unfortunately, though the existence of the Universe can’t be easily ignored, its messages to us can be misinterpreted. Those without true spiritual discernment have been twisting the spiritual knowledge found in the Earth and the Cosmos since time began. Some ignore the spiritual teachings found in God's Creation altogether. Still others go too far, claiming that the Earth and the Universe around it are sentient manifestations of an impersonal, multidimensional godhead. In other words, they claim that every object in space and every living thing is, as a part of this impersonal godhead, a god in its own right. How sad it is that they have completely perverted the truth locked into the Universe by God’s own creative hand!
The Language of God as a Destroyer of Pagan Philosophies
In recent times, the growing world movement toward ecological awareness has spawned increased interest in the Earth and in preserving both its natural resources and its beauty. Though it has many positive ramifications, this growing interest in ecology has also aroused an interest in ancient Earth-worshipping religious philosophies. The adherents of these old nature religions maintain that the Earth is a sentient living being. Proponents who are reviving this philosophy often call our planet “Mother Earth,” or “Gaia.” Regardless of the terminology used, they all share the commonality of believing that the Earth is a sentient, living deity deserving of our love, honor, and worship. They thereby insult and reject the Creator of our Earth and Universe by worshipping created things rather than the Creator Himself. As Saint Paul wrote:
“They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served created things rather than the creator - who is forever praised. Amen.” - Romans 1:25 (NIV)
Contrary to idolatrous Pagan beliefs, the Bible teaches that the Earth is not a sentient life form. Though it is teeming with life, the Earth isn’t and never was “alive.” Instead Yah and His holy angels control its functions to ensure that it serves as an incredibly intricate and beautiful jewel in the crown of God’s Creation.
Sadly, ungodly Pagan philosophies seem to have laid claim to everything in the world that was once considered good. As a result, Christians are becoming afraid to use symbols like stars and unicorns because they may have demonic origins or Pagan connections. Using the Language of God, however, Pagan lies can be stripped away from the truth to show that these assumptions are absolutely false. Many powerful symbols are and always will be Yahweh’s gift to mankind. One such symbol is the unicorn. In recent times, the unicorn has been viewed as a demonic symbol due to its use in the Occult. For thousands of years, however, the unicorn was a symbol for Christ and His Church! This book series is intended to reclaim the godly symbols in our world like the unicorn for God’s glory.
Christians have also been known to engage in heated debates over the holidays they can and should keep since Easter and Christmas coincide with ancient Pagan feast days. However, though holidays like Easter and Christmas are considered Pagan feasts by some Neo-Pagans today, the allegorical solar symbolism marking these days is not Pagan at all, but filled with spiritual truth. In addition, their acquired Christian essence and symbolism can be reclaimed for Christ. For example, Yahshua’s miraculous conception and birth has been tied to Christmas among Christians for over a thousand years, making the connection very strong. In addition, many symbols of this holiday such as angels, stars, and nativity scenes are undeniably Christian and should be focused on among people of faith.
Nonetheless, incorporating the biblically based celebrations of Passover, Sukkot, and Chanukah into the Christian holidays of Easter and Christmas is essential. This is because the biblical feast days have much to teach Christians spiritually and prophetically when they are viewed allegorically. Christians should therefore make every effort to tie the traditions of Passover to their commemoration of Christ’s death and Resurrection at Easter to make it an acceptable “holiday” (i.e. Holy Day) to God. Christians should also strive to reconcile the traditions surrounding Sukkot and Chanukah with their Christmas celebrations. Of course, keeping Passover and Sukkot at God’s appointed times is another option that has much biblical support and should prayerfully be considered.
In this way, Christians can merge Yah’s desire for them to honor His Laws with the religious freedom that they have in Christ. This is especially true since, though the Magi probably did not find Yahshua until December 25th, 2 BC, Yahshua was more likely born around the time of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot (i.e. the Feast of Tabernacles) in September of 3 BC (See Chapter One). In addition, the Feast of Chanukah with its messianic themes of miraculous blessings, shedding light in darkness, and gift giving falls around Christmas every year. Chanukah is the Jewish Festival of Light, and Yahshua is the Light of the World! Chanukah therefore gives us an opportunity to focus on the spiritual messages of light in Yahshua’s honor as well as to explore the prophetic messages symbolically hidden in the divine design of the Menorah.
When making an effort to please God under the New Covenant, it is helpful to remember that, with the exception of the biblically sanctioned and God-ordained Holy Days of Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits (Sefirot Ha-omer), Shavuot (a.k.a. Pentecost or the Feast of Weeks/Firstfruits), Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur (a.k.a. the Day of Atonement), and Sukkot (a.k.a. the Feast of Tabernacles), it is not the history of any given day that really matters. Instead, it is the spirit in which each day is currently kept since every day is a Sabbath day for Christians. Likewise, anyone who is Yahshua’s disciple should be holy or set apart for God’s service at all times. This is equally true of every hour of every day. When we become Christians, all of our time is God’s time, not our own! Therefore, every day should be kept in the same spirit as Easter, Passover, Sukkot, and Christmas.
Part of the reason this book series was written is to show Christians the many ways that they can grow closer to God everyday of their lives, not just on holidays! In Books Two and Three, we will study many Old Testament religious practices and feast days to see what their relevance to us is under the New Covenant. In this book, however, we are exploring the reasons why Christians do not have to give up more and more ground to Pagans or feel a need to be become too legalistic. Instead they can joyfully reclaim their world, their Solar System and the Universe for Christ! The ability to find this freedom is found all around us in Yah’s wonderful Creation.
The Earth and the Universe both bear the signature of the Creator God who fashioned them. These created things tell us about God’s holy and righteous character. All the planets in our Solar System and the stars surrounding it speak of Yahweh’s greatness, love and mercy. When studied carefully, the created things around us reveal unmistakable truths about Yahweh’s nature and purpose for mankind. These truths are written into the fabric of our Universe and, though always visible, aren’t always interpreted correctly unless we are given the gift of spiritual discernment through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. This is just as true for the Bible today. People in modern times are as guilty of misapplying and misinterpreting the Bible as our ancestors were of mangling the Gospel in the Stars!
Sadly, all spiritual gifts aren’t always automatic upon our saving belief in Yahshua (Jesus) as Savior. We are not given automatic spiritual discernment when we accept Christ. We need to ask for it. When diligently seeking to understand the deeper meanings in Yahweh's Word and His Creation, we need to prayerfully ask Yah for all the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Then, if we are sincere in our desire and ready to receive this knowledge, our spiritual “eyes” will be opened to understanding it.
The key to obtaining the gifts of the Holy Spirit is to do the opposite of Adam and Eve when they sinned. We must therefore answer the question of what the Original Sin was. When Eve decided to eat the forbidden fruit, she was sinning on many levels. The Original Sin was therefore a multifold sin. It first entailed open rebellion against God by questioning Yah’s ability to know and give the truth. Secondly, it was a prideful proclamation that man had the right and the knowledge to decide what truth is and how to apply it. By doing these things, the first man and woman loudly boasted that they had a right to be gods and to live without God’s guidance, intervention or interference. Thirdly, the Original Sin involved calling God a liar and denying a need for God’s truth alone in order to live forever. Instead, Adam and Eve wanted to know what Satan knew so that they could compare it to what God had told them. Yet, though Satan had declared that the knowledge he could give Adam and Eve would not lead to death, it surely did, just as Yahweh God had originally stated that it would. Subsequently, it was Satan who lied and not Yahweh.
In order to contradict or counteract the effects of the Original Sin and obtain the gift of the Holy Spirit, people must first of all admit that only Yah has the ability to always know and faithfully give the truth. Secondly, people must admit that they are not qualified to be God or to live outside of God’s presence. They must repent and seek to draw nearer to Yah through a Covenant relationship. Thirdly, people must admit that Yah is the source of all life. As such, all living things will surely die without hope of a resurrection to eternal life unless they believe what Yah has proclaimed to them through Yahshua, their Messiah and are spiritually re-born. In order to make this step more obtainable, Yah left a clear testimony of the nature of God and man, the effects of sin, and the only way to escape sins’ affects. Yah’s prophets recorded this written testimony in the sixty-six separate revelations or books that have been compiled into one volume to become our modern Bible.
Yahweh, however, left us a powerful testimony of His existence and His nature long before He inspired men to write His truths in the Bible. In fact, it was done at the moment of Creation, when Yahweh fashioned all the stars, moons and planets in our Universe. Yah “wrote” this testimony into His Creation using the language of allegory. Later, when men’s minds grew dimmer, Yah gave them a written record so that they would remember what they had forgotten to “see” in Yah’s Creation.
The Universe is never silent concerning the nature of our God. All Creation speaks of Yahweh to those who know His sacred Language. However, the most intriguing of the testimonies in Creation that show Yah’s constant, unchanging nature can be found on Earth. Every mountain, tree, plant, animal and human being on Earth attests to Yahweh’s greatness – but only when viewed spiritually with God’s allegorical Language.
This book has been written to show Yah’s children that He has never been silent. Instead, their ability to see and understand Yahweh’s messages found all around them was lost when sin entered the world. People are now openly rebellious in nature and desire to proclaim their right to be gods. This has caused a huge chasm to form between Yahweh and man. Now all humanity openly rebels against their Creator. They therefore can no longer see God’s hand in everything, nor correctly decipher the meanings in all the vivid pictures of Himself that Yah left for them in Creation and within themselves.
Unless reminded, spiritually unregenerated people have no knowledge of who created them. This ignorance causes them to fall deeper into sin and wickedness and their ignorance increases even more. They all have thereby lost their right to be Yah’s children. That is, they lose this right until Yahshua (Jesus) comes into their hearts through the presence of the Holy Spirit. When this happens, they are gradually reborn to reflect Yahshua’s righteous image. Accepting the need for His redeeming sacrifice on the Cross allows people to escape the darkness they are in and to enter the light of Yahweh’s glorious presence once more. Through Yahshua and His Spirit, people again earn the right to call Yahweh their Father and begin to understand how God has always communicated His perfect nature to them.
Yahweh communicates to us through His Creation without words. Instead, He uses numerical constructs, scientific and astronomical principles, and visual symbols that form incredible portraits of who and what He is. Yah’s Universe is a visual testament to His greatness, and every part of it speaks of His glory. Therefore, when properly applied through the Holy Spirit, The Language of God is an ideal tool that can be used to refute and destroy every Pagan religious philosophy.
Now, like the righteous descendents of Seth, Enoch, Job, Joseph, and Jacob/Israel, let’s look for the powerful allegorical truths hidden in the stars and in the Universe that Yahweh God’s Master Hand has created.
