A Prayer for Someone I Do Not Know
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before You in the Name of Your Son Jesus Christ. I come by the Healing of His Wounds, through His shed Blood, in His Righteousness. I make my requests through the Holy Spirit, Who intercedes as I pray, Who helps in my weakness. I stand in the Power of the Resurrection that gives me Hope for the impossible. I fall to my knees and bow my face to the ground; for these Precious Gifts, You so willingly provided, enable me to come into Your Glorious Presence.
I have come before You to pray for someone I do not know.
I ask You to reach down and take hold of their trembling hand of Faith, for it grows weary of the struggle to hold on to every moment of every day.
Reaffirm their Trust with evidence of Your Presence when they see none through the eyes of pain.
Cover them with Your Banner of Compassion to keep their Hope warm through the cold, black nights of doubt and fear.
Carry them when the legs of strength give way as the Prowling Lion circles his prey waiting for that moment of defeat.
Lead them by the still Waters of Your Word. Grant them Peace and Rest to restore their soul.
May the “Unknown” be left with You, Abba Father, for only You have the Power, Strength, and Wisdom to carry such a burden.
Transform…. Renew…. Mend…. Heal.
And as You lift their face in Your Warm Loving Hands, melt through the days, the months, the years of seeking and wanderings. Bring them Home to the Heart of Your Love.
Thank you for the Sacrifice that was paid for this Gift of Prayer, of Hope, and of Your Intimate Presence.
In the Name of Your Son Jesus Christ, I fervently ask for each and every request. In His Name above all names – at Whom every knee shall bow – Who sits at Your Loving Right Hand interceding for us.
“To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His Glorious Presence without fault and with great Joy – to the only God our Savior be Glory, Majesty, Power, and Authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore!” Amen. Jude 1:24, 25 (NIV)
