I imagine that every day I am given a little velvet pouch, with a drawstring that will close it up tight, and into this pouch I will put all the treasures I find as I go through the day.
I find pebbles of hope, and little glowing bits of love, scattered here and there all over the ground, and I scoop them up and tuck them inside, and joy fills my heart at what I've found.
I discover laughter hiding here, and delight just over there, and soon my pouch is filled to the top, there is so much more I want to fit in...for the treasures of love never stop.
At the end of the day, I have so much to bring, a full pouch of love's treasures to share.... and I know that when I go looking again, there will be so many more lying there.
I bring my pouch to you, and give you my gifts, and I'm filled with such wonder as I see...that in your hands is a matching velvet pouch full of gifts you've picked up just for me.
And I realize again that this is what love is, the value grows as you give it away, but it always comes back and brings you even more.... a treasure that can't be bought, can't be fit into the words that you say.
I thank God every day for giving me this pouch and for the eyes of love that can see.... the true value of the gifts that I bring to you, and the gift of love you share with me.
