Long ago a young woman was in trouble.
She met a new friend and escaped her bubble.
The laughter and the long talks that we never wanted to end.
Together this made a bond, a bond between two best friends.
Together we’ve cried the tears
and slowly our past lives disappears.
We’ve been hurt a lot so it was hard to let our walls come down.
And when we did the happiness filled us up and all around, and two different women who shared a lot is what we found.
Finally a place to belong.
Where everything seemed right, not wrong.
A place we found together called inner peace,
Where all the painful memories somehow ceased.
Our hearts did mend.
And we learned how to love again.
She’d say that she’s so afraid to lose a friend like me, she thinks I helped her.
Little does she know she was my prayer’s answer.
She gave me the strength that I didn’t believe I had before.
She believed in me, I didn’t have to be scared, I wasn’t that little girl anymore.
Sometimes we don’t know where we are,
We take different paths and want to go back but it’s just so far.
Little by little our lives drift apart,
We look to others to replace the void in
our heart.
But is not the same.
It is no one but life to blame.
What I’ve learned I’ll keep forever.
That thing called inner peace we found together.
And I’ll always be here with my shoulder to lend.
Anything for her because she is still my best friend.
