The Wrath of God – Is God Trying to Get Our Attention?
2004 brought many disasters, and more may be on the way. Catastrophic loss of life, destruction of property and more, causes me to think of the Bible passage in which Jesus tells his disciples about signs of the end-times.
Mark 13: 3As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked him privately, 4“Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are all about to be fulfilled?”
5Jesus said to them: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 6Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many. 7When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 8Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.
Are we ready? Jesus warned us 2000 years ago, and though worse might come, and probably will, should we not prepare for our Lord’s return? And in the process, a common-sense approach to disaster-preparedness can’t hurt.
The type of natural disaster your family might experience differs according to your location. Don’t rule out disasters because none have touched your lives for a time. Disasters happen everyday around the world, and they can happen to you.
1. Get right with God.
2. Prepare a disaster kit.
3. Leave instructions with loved ones where to meet in case of a disaster, and give that number to an out-of-area friend or family member who can act as a liaison.
4. Rehearse your steps.
5. Keep your kit updated at all times.
6. Learn to shelter-in-place.
7. Learn your evacuation route.
8. Keep tuned to a weather station.
9. Keep an emergency stash of cash
10. Stay right with God
Prepare yourself and your family for disaster, and in doing so, prepare for the coming of the Lord. Seek to offer the seeds of salvation to your loved ones, friends, and co-workers. Be prepared for death on earth and life in heaven.

For Questions about the Rapture (or Tribulation) Rapture Ready is an online site with lots of well-researched information.
Are you saved?
Are you witnessing to loved ones and friends? The best I’ve found for real-life, non-threatening ways to witness are through Way of the Master. The site provides simple, bible-based witnessing tools, which stem from the Ten Commandments. This site is also interactive and useful for both Christians and non-Christians.
Whether you believe in pre-tribulation rapture, post-tribulation, or any other belief, one fact remains the same. Disasters are going to happen. And reflect on this possibility—is God trying to get our attention?
I agree that we are in the midst of God's wrath. We should always be prepared to meet our Lord face-to-face - every single day. Even more than the "practical" considerations, I pray that I will be doing His work at the time of His return. I pray that I will not be in the middle of sin and disgrace Him. I pray that He comes sooner than later. Thank you for reminding me how important it is to be ready! Love in His name, ladybug Karen
You are very right
about God trying to get our attention, but for the ONES WHOM, have put
SIN, UNDERNEATH THEIR
FEET, the words sayest:
No EVIL, SHALL HAPPEN TO
THE JUST! And also: the
circle of protection
goeth before those who
stay right with Him!
May the holy spirit guide
and bless, your words.
Well done article!
