It became yellow, dry and sick.
It was supposed to be green, fresh and well.
It wasn’t growing well.
It needed help.
I loved it.
I knew how to revive it.
I went into action.
Day and night, I watered it always.
I spoke to it.
I said “you will not die”.
I cleaned its leaves
I placed it in the sun.
One morning I awoke.
I had given a fortnight to it.
I went to its usual position.
My smile and tears told my joy.
It looked at me with gusto,
Fresh, green and alive.
It even had beautiful pink dots
Coming out from three points.
The joy of watering
Stared me in the face.
How would it have lived?
Had I not watered?
Sometimes I am like it,
Dry and discouraged,
But the watering of the word
Refreshes and renews my Spirit
Many times you are like me,
Watering consistently,
To restore, refresh and renew life
In every possible way.
I am the joy of watering
Staring you in the face.
How would I have lived?
Had you not watered?
