Devil get behind us,
We’ve got work to do right now,
Not sure exactly what it is,
Don’t yet know the “When?” or “How?”.
But I do know the Lord is with us,
Every step of the way.
He hears our thoughts as well as,
Each and every word we pray.
We can’t let the devil stop us,
Can’t let him slow us down.
We’re on a mission for our Lord,
Before we’re heaven bound.
So devil get behind us,
We don’t have time for you,
We’ve got souls to save,
We’ve got God’s work to do.
Lord, let us be your tools,
For the plan you’ve got in mind,
Touch our hearts and guide us,
As you are so inclined.
We know it is Your will Lord,
And definitely not ours,
We can do nothing without you,
It’s all through Your grace and powers.
And as for that ol’ devil,
In case he didn’t hear,
Let’s say it once again,
Let’s make it loud and clear,
So say it with feeling,
Let our neighbors hear you too,
“Devil get behind us,
We’ve go work to do!!”
