I was thinking this morning of how I decide, when I'm about to create another little piece of jewelry...all around me are small pieces, all different colors, shapes and forms, just waiting to be put together in a new way.
From this corner a flower made of colored wire, and over there is a gemstone bead, and here, right in front of me, the perfect links of a short piece of fine chain.
Each one separate isn't much to look at, disconnected and all alone, but once its picked up, and added to the others, it becomes the finishing touch that makes this piece my very own.
I think of each day I spend with you like creating a small masterpiece. Each thing that we do, each word we share, both the new and the ordinary things, each one by itself isn't much, but when combined together, creates a thing of joy that just makes my heart sing!
Little flowers of love are scattered all around, for love colors everything we say and do, and each day there's new gemstones we find along the way, something new and special I've discovered about you.
All strung on a fine chain of God's grace in our lives that takes each piece of our design and transforms it anew, and by the end of the day, another masterpiece has been made from these lovely hours I have spent with you.
