Another long-awaited sunrise
A golden greeting filters through
Morning, a sight for my sore eyes
That never slept or bid the night adieu
Though darkness tempts me now and then
To steal away from life itself
To give up on this wearying world
Light breaks into this barless cell
And hope revives a heart once cold
The heart of God is faithful
