Would you let a terrorist into your home? How about a thief or a liar? No? Well, there are people-Christian and non-Christian doing it every day! This same character is a murderous, slanderous, deceitful, conceited, cowardly, evil control freak. You say, ‘there is no such person coming into my home, I'd kill him first'. Really? Not only is he trying to get into your home, but he's trying to get in your mind and the minds of your children.
You probably know already to whom I refer; satan. Oh yes, he comes and knocks on the doors of Christians all the time. The difference is, hopefully, that Christians don't let him in, or kick him out the second they recognize him. Other people let him in, feed him, give him the keys to the place and let him hang around. And like an unwelcome guest, he'll stick around for as long as you let him. Until you finally put your foot down and say GET OUT!!!!
I know that many will say that I am exaggerating, blowing it out of proportion or whatever. I also know that they have already fallen prey to satan and his deceptive tricks. I know that anytime I try to share the Gospel, satan HATES it. He hates God, Jesus and all Christians. He wants nothing more than to destroy us, or at the least shut us up. I know this because I embrace the truth of what God says.
When I try to do something that is going to disclose satan for the liar he is, he always tries to stop me–that's how I know that I am doing the will of God. For example; I recently tired to comment on another writers article. It was an awesome post, I believe one that the Holy Spirit laid on the writers heart as a prophetic word. I read it three times because it was so outstanding and full of wisdom.
Then, I tried to comment on it. I'd get one word typed and my computer would just freeze up. I'd get it started back up, try to comment again and AGAIN the stupid thing would screw up–it took 5 attempts before I got most of my comment posted. Now you could say, truthfully so, that it's because I have a lousy, falling apart computer.
But I know in my spirit that satan didn't want me to write my comment on that particular article because it was confirming a word from God. Even some of my own writing at times seems to get thwarted. Because when I do so, it exposes satan for the evil piece of dog dung that he is. I experience his attempts to put an end to my efforts all the time. He harasses me left and right and I am glad for it! Because then I know that I am doing the work of my Father in that I am attacking the kingdom of darkness that satan rules over.
I know when someone says that I don't know what I'm talking about or that there is no satan or sin or hell and that God doesn't even exist, that they are carrying on the lie that was fed to them by satan; the Father of lies. That's O.K., because I know that the truth that is Jesus Christ will be seen by all someday because God's word says so-every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. In the meantime, my only responsibility is to keep on preaching the truth as I see it given to me by MY Father.
I believe in the power of the Holy Spirit and that power was given to me. I have the ability to speak in other tongues, to lay hands on the sick, to cast out demons. And so do you!
Like the word says in Luke 4:18
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because HE anointed me to preach the Gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim the release of captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are down trodden, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord." I have the ability to do the same, because Jesus Himself said so and gave me the power and He can give it to you too.
According to the Word of God, satan roams about, prowling like a lion to see who he can destroy. He's already devoured a lot of people and has many more in his sites. Does he have you lined up already? It's not to late to get out of his path and get on the path to eternal life. The choice is yours, just be wise in your decision, it's a matter of life and death.
