I'm speaking you this time in the written word.
So it can be read by others who haven't heard.
About you, my Savior, my all and all.
A guaranteed answer when I call.
Father when I'm lonely you camp by my side.
So I won't have to call on others and swallow my pride.
When my heart is broken and my spirit down too.
Like a potter, you mend them, you know the things that you do.
You send down your blessings of rest, joy and hope.
So I have no reason to turn to alcohol or dope.
You showed me you loved me, when you gave your only son.
How much do I owe, for all you have done?
The price of your sacrifice I have no idea.
I'll just obey your commands, and except you will.
I'm trying to win favor when I copy your son Jesus.
Trying to walk like him, talk like him, anything to please ya.
Father I bow down before you, I praise your holy name.
I'll do this before others, to let you know I'm not ashamed.
As I write these words, I wonder what will be your reaction?
Hope I overwhelm you, as if I were a fatal attraction.
The way I'm praising and honoring you may sound like a bribe.
The way I'm getting my house together for when you arrive.
I'll do any and everything to win your affection.
For being with you is my final destination.
Like a bride at the chapel awaiting her groom.
I'm anxious to sit in my seat in the upperroom
Lord I love you, and I'm going the extra mile.
To show it in my works, and in my lifestyle.
In closing dear Father, I'd just like to say.
When you finish your next assignment, swing by my way.
PS: Tell Jesus I love him
