Is this the colour blue?
Before my eyes were opened
It was the smell of salt
Carried on the ocean
The sound of waves
Beating against the rocks
Now I see…now I know
How glorious the shifting hues
Shimmering and glinting
Is this the colour green?
Before my eyes were opened
It was the smell of grass
Warm and growing
The sound of the wind
Plucking leaves on trees
Now I see…Now I know
How amazing the variety
Shades and shadows blending
Is this a smile?
Before my eyes were opened
It was the smell of her breath
Soft against my cheek
It was the sound of her voice
Loving and lifting
Now I see…Now I know
How delightful the dimple
The tender blush of her lips
Is this God?
Before my eyes were opened
You were the smell of incense
Hidden behind curtains
You were the sound of chanting
Remote and unapproachable
Now I see…now I know
How gracious to be a man
Touching and healing
Giving a blind man a new vision
Friend, why do you walk with your eyes closed?
Not seeing the blue of the ocean?
The green of the forest?
The smile of a friend?
The God who was man?
Now I see…now I know
Born blind I yearned to see
Born seeing you chose to be blind
And I thought I had cause to cry.

Wow! Simply awesome! Yours is a beautiful, rare, and precious vision. Doesn't it just make your heart yearn to have everyone share in that vision. I don't just hear that cry... I know it... I'm all too familiar with it. Beautiful vision with a heart for lost souls. You are set apart, Sister.
