We pray prayers and sing songs that ask God to never leave us, or to come see about us when He has promised to never leave nor forsake; to be with us, even until the end of the world.
God is there all of the time; we are the ones that choose to walk away. We walk away from Him when we step out of His will with disobedience and sin. Therefore, there is no need to ask that He be with us; for, He’s already there.
There is no need to find God because He is never lost; we are the lost. God is where He always remains, in the path of righteousness; we need to find our way back, and the only way back is through confession and repentance.
So, if you have left God, turn around and go back to Him; He’s awaiting your return.
We find ourselves asking God to be with us;
But His word is enough
To confirm that He never leaves
In spite of our disobedience and evil deeds.
The fact of the matter is we are the ones that walk away
When we choose to disobey and go astray.
God has promised to be there
Regardless of how heavy the burdens we bare.
Therefore, there is no need to ask that He be with you;
But, it’s necessary that you stay with Him in all that you do.
God never leaves our side;
For, we walk away when we choose not to abide
In His will and in His way.
We are the ones who need to remain with Him each day.
He never leaves us to walk alone;
For, He’s there when those closest to us are gone.
He never leaves us to suffer pain and strife;
For, He’s promised to be there all the days of my life.
We are the ones so quick to walk away;
But, He awaits our return although we go astray.
Therefore, if you think God is not with you, you are being deceived
Because God has made a promise to us that He would never leave.
