Conspire with 'self' to beat the odds
That threaten and destroy.
Decide what's best, discard the rest
That bother and annoy.
Subscribe to values that upbuild;
Forsake the negatives that hurt,
That cheat and disappoint.
Begin each day with lofty thoughts
Of...NOT 'how bad I feel;'
But positives that lie in store
Each moment might reveal.
So if depression tries to trash
The progress you have made;
Conspire with 'self' to nullify

Such marvelous advice, Howard. Something I ought to post throughout my home....that heart's reminder....that the choice is INDEED mine. My LORD has the day firmly in His grasp, nothing out of place on not love-covered. Your words remind me of that...thanks for the honesty and the encouragement.
