This to those who see past the surface level in life.
So as a man thinketh lets the enlightened know the mind is a powerful thing. God has made man in His image. God at the moment of thought can speak it and it is good. He can speak Life and whatever He speaks it over comes alive. God is the Healer and we are the mind or storage of His Word. Thats why He says to meditate on The Word day and night so it will be in our hearts. It will take root in our heart. Faith is what is needed to activate The Word of God in our life. When God said let there be light, He had no doubt if it would hapen or not. It happened because He spoke it and His word finishes its course of action. We must Increase our faith. Some think it can't be done or miracles and healing isn't for today. This same person says they believe in God. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is the I Am. That means he is constant, always existing in His capacity and totality of omnipotence.
We must increase our faith and the person who needs healing or the miracle must believe. The highest form of belief is believing in the saviour of the world, Jesus Christ. When people meditate on what Jesus did for us, and understand He is the Word, then they have to believe by His stripes they are healed. Not were healed or will be healed but ARE.
"Are" and "I AM" remains a great mystery for most Christians today. But He who has ears to hear had best hear.

Healing is a witness to the Lord. All the Gifts of the Spirit are tools of witness. The Great Commission is to witness. Jesus commanded the apostles to wait for the power to witness--the Pentecost. Who would not want all the power that the Lord will give him? Just as you have said, HE is the same yesterday, today and forever. He desires us.
We should hear His call and obey just as you rightly point out.
