I have a secret place
A place that I can safely trust
It's is a place of refuge
Protected by God
It is a place within His strong arms
Where my soul can rest assured
He will calm my worried heart
There I can rejoice in his love
I can shed a tear and not be afraid
Because He said, "fear not for I am with you
Do not be dismayed for I am your God."
When people demand my time and energy
God lets me rest in His arms
When I am frustrated and ready to pull my hair out
He offers health, help and hope
When my emotions are stretched to the limit
He gives me joy as he repairs my wounded heart
So when I am suffering through an ordeal
He spreads His arms open wide
And embraces me in His divine protection
And I abide in Him.
