Have you ever wondered what heaven was like? Did you ever wondered how forever would be? Did you ever think on how you would feel when you stood up in front of the Father and walked upon the streets of gold in a city made of jewls with the Savior walking beside you?
How would you feel if you missed all of it because you made one mistake? What if you missed the joy and peace over just one mistake? What if you had to endure endless suffering forever? Pain in a fire that would never burn out? If you had to live in an everlasting flame of torment, just over one mistake?
I made the mistake but unlike others I was given a second chance. I died for a moment and in that moment I saw a horrible place. A place on fire. All I could hear from it was people secreaming because of the pain from the flames. There was crying and weeping. People were alone.
I couldn't bear the sight of it. I turned my head and thats when I saw a man shining like the sun. He looked at me and pointed toward the fireplace as if I was suppose to go there.
On the man's hands I saw two holes, one on each hand. It look like nails had been driven into them. His feet were the same way. His face I could not see, it shown to bright. It was his light that dropped me to my knees. The light was pure holyness.
The hands I could see, one pointing toward the flames of pain. In a voice like thunder he spoke to me these words, "That is the punishment for the sinners who do not accept me. A life not cleansed from my blood. That is your punishment, what it should be."
I weeped then but I made the mistake. I did not accept this man before me.
He turned his hand to me and said in his gentle voice of thunder, "Go back and warn those people who are living on the path that will lead here, to this place. Lett them know my blood can save them."
I woke in the hospital then. I was given a second chance to undo my mistake and tell others of the love of Jesus Christ, the man who bore the nails.
Listen to my story, of life, of death, and of a second chance, that may not have been given.
What if you missed heaven and ended up in the fire, all because of one mistake? What if you make the one mistake that will lead you to a place where there is no hope, only pain? Have you accepted the Lamb of God? Are you his?
